Stephanie Smith graduated from East Carolina University attaining her BFA in Graphic Design. She is a design leader with a focus on creative strategy and brand development.
In 2009 Stephanie and Zulay Smith (Stephanie's mom), paired some outside the box thinking with the Graphic Design degrees earned in their professional careers and launched Zass Design. A sustainable jewelry company located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Zass redefines the overlooked and typically recycled objects into classic up-cycled accessories.
Their work for Zass has reached international audiences and has been featured alongside other successful brands on the runways of Charleston Fashion Week and Redress Raleigh Eco-Fashion Shows. In 2014 & 2015, they were nominated as “Best Jewelry Store in Wake County” for the annual Indy Weekly: Best of The Triangle. Their work has been highlighted in Green Craft Magazine, My Carolina Today, Verve Magazine, and Allergic Living, to name a few. They have had the pleasure of collaborating with other like-minded companies such as Colorado based New Belgium Brewing and Jaw Drop Cooler Co. from British Columbia.
Stephanie currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina where she works as a creative director, entrepreneur, and eco-fashion enthusiast.
